Team India retained the Border-Gavaskar Trophy on Monday, March 13. Rohit Sharma and Co. clinched the series 2-1 after the fourth and final Test at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad ended in a draw. During the Test, a host of former cricketers and broadcast representatives, who were part of the discussion show, celebrated the historic Oscar win of RRR's viral dance number, Naatu Naatu. While that video has already been doing rounds on social media, another clip has recently surfaced where commentators could be seen bending to the tunes of another viral Tamil song.

Former India skipper Sunil Gavaskar and veteran wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik were two of the commentators present for the four-match series. On Tuesday, March 14, Gavaskar shared a reel on Instagram which went viral. In the clip, Gavaskar and Dinesh Karthik were seen shaking their legs on a trending Tamil song ‘tum tum’. Interestingly, instead of actually dancing, the two cricketers could be seen doing batting actions rhythmically to the tunes.

Sharing the video, Gavaskar captioned it, “Opener & Finisher.”

Meanwhile, Karthik also shared the reel on his official Instagram account and captioned it, “#T20s or #Tests Which side are you on? 😜Fun times with a legend who’s so humble and young at heart.”

Dinesh Karthik will play for RCB in IPL 2023

Dinesh Karthik was one of the players who got a chance to return to Team India after a long gap. Karthik earlier made a comeback to the Indian team after an impressive spell with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) last year. However, he could not capitalize on the opportunity he received.

Karthik made his debut in the world of commentary in 2021. After that, the 37-year-old returned to that role in the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy. He will next feature for RCB in the IPL 2023 which will begin on March 31.

Sunil Gavaskar had earlier grooved to 'Naatu 'Naatu' after the song managed to clinch the Oscars. After India retained the Border-Gavaskar Trophy on Monday, Gavaskar was seen grooving to the track along with Matthew Hayden. The official broadcaster of the four-match series, Star Sports shared a clip of the former cricketer’s dance performance on Twitter which has also gone viral.
