Abhimanyu Mithun played four Tests and five ODIs for India.

Some of the big names have already been arrested in the matter.

Bengaluru Police Commissioner Bhaskar Rao confirmed the news on Wednesday.

CCB have arrested eight people, who are suspected to have an involvement in the match fixing and betting scandal of KPL.

Ali Ashfaq- the owner of Belagavi Panthers- Cricketers CM Gautam and Abrar Qazi have already been arrested.

Recently domestic cricketer CM Gautam was also arrested by CCB.

'We can't act against the bookies' - BCCI ACU Chief

So far six people have been arrested over the scandal.

Earlier this week, the police had arrested Bengaluru Blasters player Nishant Singh Shekhawat.

Nishant Singh Shekhawat was the link between his team members and the bookies.

The match in question is the August 31, 2018 game between the Bengaluru Blasters and Hubli Tigers in Mysuru.

It is also pretty evident from the scorecard of the match between Bengaluru and Hubli in KPL 2018 in which Vishwanathan scored 9 runs in 17 balls before getting dismissed.
