England was playing Pakistan at home in the 3rd ODI of the series played at Trentbridge. After a poor start by the England opener Jason Roy, Alex Hales came up with a solid, consistent hundred (171 off 122 balls), skipper Eoin Morgan, Joe Root, Jos Buttler hit a half-century as well. Jos Buttler coming in at number 4 scored one of the finest knocks we have seen from this youngster, his 91 off just 51 balls took England to a superior 444-3. England’s No.3 batsman Joe Root scored an 86-ball 85 runs and captain Eoin Morgan also came up with a 27-ball 57 runs. Alex Hales’ 171-run score is the highest ever individual score by an England player in the ODI cricket history. England’s total of 444/3 is also the highest ever total posted by a team in One Day Internationals.
