Joe Burns made his debut a year ago with the Boxing Day Test against India. In 2014-15, Burns was Queensland’s leading Shield run scorer with 793 at an average of 52.86. The same season, the highpoint of his career came as he was picked up for the Boxing day Test against India. After two Tests, he was dropped and could only again make it back into the team in November against New Zealand for the home series. Burns finished this year with 3 half-centuries and a century, scoring 444 runs in 6 Tests.
