Stuart Binny is an all-rounder who has the ability to swing the ball in the air and off the pitch and with bat he has the power game. Binny is a regular in his domestic side because of his match-winning contributions. Apart from a couple of good performances, Binny has never been consistent with his skills for India. He was one of the members of WC 2015 squad, as India didn’t have a fast bowling all-rounder in the set-up, but he didn’t get a game in the whole event.

KL Rahul is a batsman of high calibre as he can play awe-inspiring shots with ease. He has the ability to score runs even on good balls and can destroy any bowling line-up on his day. Like Binny, Rahul has not been consistent with his skills in international outings. The right-hander has been in good form in the ongoing IPL, and that’s why he has been picked as a back-up opener for the WC. But if the regular openers fire then it will be difficult for Rahul to break into the playing XI.

In a country like India, there are many breakout stars but very few cricketers get the opportunity to play the WC for the nation. India’s current WC squad has some fresh faces and most of them have some similarities to the stars whom they replaced from the last edition.
