Mehidy Hasan would be another young and exciting option for Bangladesh looking at the future. This 24-year old bowling all-rounder has become the frontline spinner in the past few years due to his leadership qualities. However, he was ruled out of the home series against Sri Lanka due to a finger injury.
Hasan has played 33 Tests so far by bagging 128 wickets at an economy of 34.77. He has even managed to contribute with the bat, scoring 1072 runs in 61 innings at an average of 19.85.
Hasan also the captaincy experience as he led Bangladesh in the Under-19 World Cup in 2014 at an age of 16. He has certainly emerged as one of the brightest young stars in the country and that’s why BCB can make him the next captain of Bangladesh’s Test set-up.
