IPL 2023: Team-wise one player who could be traded in the trading window
With the IPL trading window known to be highly significant in the past, the forthcoming window can be a wonderful opportunity for teams to trade players that they don't require with valuable assets.
5. Chetan Sakariya (Delhi Capitals)
With a lot of left-arm seamers already a part of the squad, Delhi Capitals don't really need Chetan Sakariya in the mix. He played just three matches in the 2022 Indian Premier League and picked up three wickets in the process. His economy of 8.10, however, can get better.
More than his bowling, the 24-year-old can be released because of his disciplinary actions. Despite being a Delhi Capitals player, Sakariya was spotted waving the Rajasthan Royals flag on the night of the finals. Now, it depends on how the management will see that incident and whether he will be penalised or not.
Sakariya being a young bowler requires more opportunities. He was terrific for Rajasthan before and expected more game time but under Rishabh Pant, Sakariya never looked convincing. Delhi Capitals can save 4.2 crores by offloading him in the trading window. Khaleel Ahmed or Mustafizur Rahman can replace him in the squad.
