Kolkata Knight Riders signed Prasidh Krishna in 2018 and eventually made a star out of him. Initially, the cricketer didn’t get enough opportunities but towards the fag end of his KKR career, Prasidh did really well and was their leading Indian pacer at one point. The Bangalore-born pacer was a popular figure until 2021 before KKR released him ahead of the mega auction.

Overall, the Bangalore-born pacer has played 34 matches for the two-time champions, picking up 30 wickets in the process. Other than being impressive for KKR in the death overs, he also proved his worth in the domestic arena to get a national call in 2021. Notably, KKR gave him the much-needed confidence, which the cricketer utilized well on the international stage.

Meanwhile, the pacer has played 14 ODI matches for India, picking up 25 wickets in the process. He has done justice to the role that was given to him in the past but because of an injury; he is currently not in the scheme of things. The 27-year-old also missed the ongoing IPL 2023 due to injury but is expected to get fit sooner than later and if recovers on time, Prasidh can fight for a spot in India’s World Cup squad.
