De Villiers expressed that Quinton's current batting form is the finest he's witnessed in his career. He also believes that the southpaw appears extremely comfortable and in sublime form. He stressed the significance of providing a strong start to fortify the middle order, highlighting that Proteas opener's present state of play is crucial for South Africa's success in the tournament.

"I think it is the best I have ever seen him play in a World Cup, He certainly seems to be at home, he has got a point to prove and he looks calm while he is doing it.
