Evin Lewis has been pretty unimpressive in the second week of the tournament, after scoring a match-winning knock of 55 runs off 23 balls against Chennai Super Kings. The West Indian batter has had two bad outings this week, with single-digit scores against Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals. The southpaw was dismissed for just one run against Hyderabad, facing just five deliveries.

Despite the good start provided by Quinton de Kock and KL Rahul in the chase against Delhi Capitals, Lewis was unable to capitalise on the same. The former Mumbai Indians batter walked back to the pavilion, scoring just five runs, whilst using up 13 crucial deliveries, which build on some pressure. With Marcus Stoinis joining the squad in the upcoming week, it seems that Lewis will be the one to make way for the Australian all-rounder.
