Chennai Super Kings faced their third consecutive defeat against Punjab Kings in the last fixture, and things are not looking too good for the defending champions. Their top-order has been misfiring, and their bowling has not been effective either. English all-rounder, Moeen Ali has had a mixed start to the season as he had a poor show against Punjab Kings. He had had a much better outing against Lucknow, where he scored 35 runs off 22 deliveries.

Moeen was dismissed without scoring, facing just two deliveries against Punjab Kings. With the ball, the Englishman was handed just one over, where he conceded 8 runs. It is not often that Moeen Ali underperforms with both bat and ball. The veteran all-rounder will look to get his campaign back on track, as Chennai are in dire need to get wins under their belt.
