After a break of three seasons, an IPL game ended in tie. Sunrisers Hyderabad faced Royal Challengers Bangalore in the first of the two Super over matches that happened in the 6th season. RCB, who batted first, could score just 130. In reply, SRH also managed to end on 130 leading to the Super Over.

In the SO, SRH opened with Perera and White who were facing Vinay Kumar. Vinay began with a high full toss but it yielded just a single. The following 2 balls were managed for singles by the SRH batsmen before White struck a Six on third legitimate delivery. The next ball was hit for couple and White followed it with a six before finishing with another 2 as SRH scored 20 runs in the over.

Kohli and Gayle opened for RCB against SRH’s Steyn. Gayle began with a two and a single before Kohli smashed a four on the third delivery. The 4th ball went for just a single, Gayle struck six on the penultimate delivery but failed to repeat it on the final ball as they fell 5 runs short of SRH’s super over winning total.
