Harry Brook is one of the most exciting prospects in the England cricketing circles. He has taken the T20 circuit by storm with his exceptional batting displays this calendar year. In Pakistan Super League 2022, the Yorkshire-born smashed 264 runs in 10 games at a dazzling strike rate of 171.43. He put on an exhibition of his swashbuckling stroke play at the T20 Blast 2022 and scored 436 runs in 13 matches at a strike rate of 163.91.

Brook has proven his mettle in the international arena as well and demolished bowling attacks for fun. He has featured in 20 T20Is and scored 372 runs at a strike rate of 137.77. Also, in the first two games of the ongoing Test series against Pakistan, the 23-year-old has plundered 357 runs at a strike rate of 101.70.

The ace batter will enter the IPL 2023 player auction and has kept his base price at INR 1.5 crore. This will be the first time the dashing stroke maker will take part in the marquee event. Given that Brook is in red-hot form, many franchises would like to have him at their disposal. Fans might even witness a bidding war between the teams to sign the England cricketer.

Here are five franchises that might pick Harry Brook at auction:

5. Sunrisers Hyderabad

Sunrisers Hyderabad had a dismal campaign in the 2022 season of the lucrative T20 tournament and finished in the eighth position with six wins in 14 games. In a bid to revamp their squad for the next season, SRH have released 12 players which includes the likes of Kane Williamson and Nicholas Pooran.

Williamson was an integral part of the Hyderabad set-up since 2015. He was a run-bank for SRH at the top of the order and amassed 2101 runs in 76 games at a strike rate of 126.03. Pooran, on the other hand, was picked at the 2022 mega auction to add firepower to the batting line-up. The wicketkeeper-batter fared well in the previous season, scoring 306 runs in 14 games at a strike rate of 144.34.

With the overseas duo released, Hyderabad's batting has become quite weak and so the team management would certainly go fishing for top-drawer batters at the upcoming auction. So, SRH could look to add someone like Brook to bolster their batting line-up. The England batter has been in a pristine touch of late and has been hammering top-quality bowlers in the international circuit. So, one might witness the Hyderabad franchise make a bid for the youngster.
